In the end, we all want to be successful. We might have different definitions of success, but it’s a universal thing we all strive for. Quotes on success aren’t going to change your life by themselves, but they can provide valuable insight into what works and what doesn’t.
Especially quotes from people who have already achieved their version of success. Success is like well prepared dish and there are countless quotes from accomplished people regarding their particular recipe.
There might be numerous dishes and variations, but many of the ingredients are common.
You come to see some traits, behaviors, and mindsets are essential for success and self improvement.
Quotes on success can also motivate, inspire, and cause you to think about things differently.
The more you think about things differently, the more likely you are to start taking different actions. Over time, taking different actions will change your life.
In that way, quotes serve as a foundation and impetus for self improvement and change.
For example, one of my favorite quotes on success is:
“Try not to be a man of success, but a man of value.”
That quote is from Albert Einstein (more Einstein quotes here).
I like that quote because it cuts through the many definitions of success.
Success could be money for one person and political power for another. Getting to the top of the corporate latter for someone else. Raising a strong family for yet another and so on.
Value, however, is something we all internally want to provide. We all want to be valuable, to feel valuable, and to be appreciated for something that we do well.
If we consistently think of how we can provide value, success comes naturally. Success is a feeling, not a material object.
Even if we think it’s a material object, it’s actually the feeling the object creates.
Whenever I feel like I’m not succeeding in some area, I ask the question of whether I’m creating value or not. When I focus on creating value, I get lost in the process and less attached to the outcome.
More often than not, I feel a sense of success once I know I’ve created some kind of value. Additionally, I’m more motivated to go and create more value.
Even if that particular quote on success doesn’t have any significance for you, chances are there are a few that will.
Check out the list below and see if some of the quotes on success resonate with you. If they do, commit them to memory and be sure to draw upon them when needed.
One of them could be just what you need at just the right time to help modify your thinking. Armed with new thoughts, have the courage to act on them and behave differently.
Over time, self improvement and change are inevitable.
